Orienteering Mapper

The Orienteering Association of Nova Scotia (and its affiliated clubs) has a mapping project to be completed in the summer/fall of 2018. A position is currently available in Nova Scotia (Bridgewater, Halifax and Windsor area).

Job Duties: Field checking of forested areas to current ISOM standard. Field checking of urban sprint map areas to ISSOM standard. Map drafting in OCAD.

Terms of Employment: A temporary independent contractor positions is available for a duration of approximately 10 weeks. The wage will be $25 per hour.

Education and Work Experience required: Applicants must be fully conversant with International Orienteering Federation standards for preparation of orienteering maps including ISOM and ISSOM. Applicants must be able to provide examples of orienteering maps previously completed. Must be a member of the Canadian Orienteering Mapper Registry.
